More dagging thoughts
Aug. 31st, 2004 01:01 amModern tools that could be used to make reconstruction of, say, the Arnolfini dags less of a threatening idea:
Rotary cutter, straightedge, and large mat
rotary pinking blade
Cut strips to desired width using pinking blade, leave strips together, cut x's, then trim off pinking from horizontal edges of cross arms. YOu could conceivably do two layers at once if they were thin.
Sew two strips together along vertical center axis (creates doubled texture). Cut to lengths of 8 crosses (i'd make all of my strips in multiples of 8 to save brain stress). Attach to bag sleeve.
