Exciting weekend.
Aug. 20th, 2007 12:13 pmSo. We got to have a date on Friday, complete with babysitting, sushi, and a movie. This contributed greatly to my sanity.
Saturday, we took advantage of the once-a-year free admission for active duty servicemembers, and went to Sea World. I've never been, actually. It was fun, the kids liked it (except that babyJ didn't really like the seals/sea lions, and I'm not sure why), we were there all day, bought plush Shamus for the kids, etc.
Then, Martha, our faithful old minivan, died in the parkinglot. I expect she'll be DOA, as we have yet to hear from the repair shop. Thanks to our friends, we were able to get home, but it took until 4 am to do so. I'm so glad we got Chris a commute car, because that means we still have a car.
Sunday was a complete wash for some reason. I don't recall why, except that I was a zombie and I want to poke a certain neighbor in the eye for REALLY loud music (it has to be really loud to get through the walls, and this was loud enough to vibrate the lamp on my bedside table...). Weird, because when the husband is at home (he's out of town, with his folks this weekend), the music is never loud. Meh. Anyway, we got invited to some other freinds' house fopr dinner, but I was too dead to go, and so was babyJ. We stayed home and Chris and FX went.
I slept for 14 hours, and so did the baby. I fell much better now (tired is an order of magnitude better than exhausted), and perhaps, maybe, babyJ will be diurnal again. (fervent prayers) I really need my sleep.
